General Questions
Do you accept cryptocurrency payments?
No, we do not currently accept cryptocurrency payments due to tax legislation requirements. Please use other payment methods such as credit card or PayPal.
Do you offer discounts or coupon codes?
Yes, Exocharts.com offers a discount of 12% for a 3-month subscription and a discount of 23% for a 6-month subscription.
How do I stop my subscription and payments?
To downgrade your plan to Free Trial, please go to your user profile and click on the payment section. You will still be able to use any remaining premium days before the downgrade takes effect.
How can I get an invoice?
Once you have successfully purchased a premium subscription, you will receive an email containing your purchase receipt. Open the email and click on 'View Receipt'. A new window will open, where you will find an 'Add Address & VAT Number' button. Click on this button to open the invoice window. Next, select the 'This is a Business Purchase' option and fill in the company details. After filling in all the necessary information, click on the 'Save' button. You will then be redirected to the invoice page, where you can download or print your invoice.
I have paid and it still says trial
Our payment collector, Paddle, handles all payments made through our platform. Each transaction processed through Paddle is assigned a fraud score, based on various factors such as recent fraudulent transactions on the card, recent transactions on the card under a different name, or a number of recent transactions on the same card at varying locations. If the fraud score is deemed too high, the transaction is flagged for manual approval.
In this case, Paddle will put an authorization hold on the customer's money in their payment account for the transaction, which will only be processed if the flagged order is manually approved and the customer is charged. If the flagged order is deemed fraudulent or illegitimate, the money will be released back to the customer via their method of purchase, and they will not be charged.
Flagged orders are typically handled by a member of the Paddle support team within 1-2 hours, although it can take up to 24 hours. If you have any questions regarding a flagged order or require the product urgently, please contact the Paddle support team with the email address used to purchase the Exocharts subscription.
Can I get reverse charge VAT for business payment?
Yes, just press "Add VAT number" before payment and fill in the required fields.
This number will be checked against the registered companies database, and if it is successful, you won't be charged VAT.

GEOFENCE and VPN issues
We have noticed that many of Exocharts' users use VPNs, which can sometimes result in data feed errors due to geofencing restrictions or incorrect VPN configurations. In this article, we provide guidance on configuring VPNs for different scenarios.
Firstly, it is important to understand the differences between Exocharts' desktop and web platforms. On the web version, geofencing restrictions are not applied as all data passes through intermediary Exocharts servers located in restriction-free areas. In the desktop version, a direct client-server connection is used, requiring the use of a VPN to bypass geofencing restrictions.
The VPN service can be used even if the user is not in a restricted area. In such cases, it is essential to ensure that the VPN server being used is not located in a restricted area. For a list of restricted areas for Bybit, please refer to the link below: https://www.bybit.com/en-US/help-center/bybitHC_Article?id=360039750013&language=en_US.
If you are using a server from the restricted area list, you must add an exception for Exocharts. Please refer to the configuration example below using NordVPN software, although other application configurations should be similar.
If you are accessing the Bybit exchange from a geofenced area, you must use a VPN software. We recommend NordVPN (https://nordvpn.com/) as a reliable and user-friendly option, although any VPN can be used if properly configured.
The VPN installation process is straightforward; simply follow the on-screen instructions. After installation, select a restriction-free area for VPN rerouting. If you want to use the VPN exclusively for Exocharts, please follow the instructions below.
Here is an example of how to configure NordVPN to add an exception for Exocharts:
* Open the NordVPN software and go to the "Settings" menu.
* Under the "General" tab, scroll down to the "App Kill Switch" section.
* Click on the "Add App" button.
* Navigate to the location where you have installed the Exocharts desktop application and select the "exocharts.exe" file.
* Once you have added the Exocharts application, click on the "Save" button to save the changes.
This will ensure that the VPN connection does not interfere with the Exocharts data feed. If you are using a different VPN software, please refer to its documentation on how to add exceptions for specific applications.
MacOs security issue or app won't start

Windows `Program Files` installation folder restrictions.
ExoCharts cannot be installed in the "Program Files" and "Program Files (x86)" folders. As a data-intensive software, ExoCharts requires collecting market data within its installation folder. However, the operating system's security layer prohibits writing into system folders, which is why we do not support installation in these directories.
The advantage of this is that it is easy to maintain multiple running instances of the software. Simply copy the "Installation Folder" to another location and run another instance from there. If you need to upgrade the copy of the instance, copy and paste everything from the original installation folder except for the "DAO" folder.
The "DAO" folder contains all the user data, templates, and downloaded market history.

Where can I download Exocharts Desktop Pro
How Web is different from Desktop?
The web platform was our initial project, where we achieved many proofs of concept. However, it became clear that web technology, while great, cannot fully realize our vision for a perfect order flow platform that is easy to use, very fast to render, and flexible to set up.
The web platform has a predefined set of market pairs, candle periods, no sessions, no DOM, and no multi-screen workspaces. Heavy-weight work is done for you on the cloud and is delivered as a final data set to your browser. It works very fast and stably, but there is not much room to adjust properties and find your own unique edge.
For example, if you want to filter out small trades and see the trading activity of just the London trading session, and aggregate limit orders into market orders, it is hard to achieve on the web version without placing a personal computer for each user on the cloud. Instead, we have created a desktop app where you can download Tick-By-Tick data and render it any way you need to on the chart. You can set up your own periods, sessions, filters, etc.
Moreover, Desktop Pro uses a unique fusion of JavaFX and Chromium technologies, where we have developed an OpenGL engine with fast data structures to drive millions of 2D objects on the screen at around 60 FPS. Currently, its safe limits are set to 15 million Bid-Ask clusters per single rendering frame, while the web struggles with 10k-20k clusters per frame.
The web platform almost has everything that a daily trading routine requires to get a good snapshot of order flow activity. However, if you want to dive deeper, you will soon find out that a more advanced setup requires Exocharts Desktop Pro version.
Will Web premium grant access to the Desktop Pro?
No, purchasing the Web Premium subscription does not grant access to the Desktop Pro version of Exocharts. The Web Premium subscription provides additional features and benefits on the web platform, but the Desktop Pro version is a separate product with its own pricing and features. If you want to use the Desktop Pro version, you will need to purchase a separate license for that product.
